📍Diwaniyah branch. Religious Programme.

The Orphan Charity Foundation's Diwaniyah branch, in cooperation with the Family Guidance Centre and the Centre for Cultural and Intellectual Activities, both affiliated with the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, held its large annual women's gathering (majlis) marking the martyrdom of Lady al-Zahra (peace be upon her), with the participation of 500 women mourners. The gathering's programme opened with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reciter (Farah Nafi'), followed by the Ziyarat of Lady al-Zahra and Ziyarat Ashura. After that, the preacher Alawiya "Maryam Shubbar" delivered a religious lecture in which she stressed the importance of following the path of al-Zahra (peace be upon her), learning lessons and morals from her life story, and the importance of women's commitment to the hijab, prayer and acts of worship. This was followed by elegies for the occasion, and at the close, meals were distributed to the mourners and food baskets to the families registered with the Foundation.
