The Orphan Charity Foundation's Diwaniyah branch took part in the women's mourning gathering (majlis) held in the tent of Umm al-Banin (peace be upon her) on the anniversary of the death of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her). The gathering was used to introduce the "Journey of Hope" project and to invite believing women to contribute to supporting and standing by people with cancer.
The Foundation was represented at this activity by staff member Hawraa Shakir Mirdas, who explained the project's aims and how to donate. The event met with a strong, positive response from the believing sisters, and donation boxes for cancer patients were also distributed to women wishing to contribute and give support.
